DiversityRx 'Your Voice' Webinar Series:  Webinar #4

Health Literacy: Using a Self-Assessment Tool to Guide Quality Improvement in Primary Care

Thursday, February 4, 2010

3:00pm - 4:15pm EST

Description:

Seeking medical care, taking medications correctly, and following prescribed treatments requires that people understand how to access and apply health information. Health literacy is the ability to obtain, process, and understand health information to make informed decisions about health care. In order to identify areas of a primary care practice that are in need of improvement, practices can conduct a health literacy assessment. In this Webinar you will learn about a new health literacy practice assessment tool, and about a pediatric practice’s experience in using the tool.
