2010 Conference Overview:
Over 600 professionals are expected at the conference, which will be held at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, MD. Exhibitors will have the unique opportunity to present their products and services to a diverse audience with considerable influence and market power.
Over the past six conferences, 3,400 attendees from the US and abroad have participated in more than 300 conference sessions delivered by over 1,075 speakers. The Seventh National Conference will continue this broad-based appeal by engaging providers, communities, and policymakers to confront the challenges of addressing the health care needs of diverse populations. The conference will focus on three main objectives: 1) the implications of health care reform for diverse populations; 2) how to implement new standards on culturally and linguistically appropriate services from The Joint Commission and the National Committee for Quality Assurance; and 3) how health care organizations can respond to health IT and demographic data collection recommendations from the Institute of Medicine and federal health agencies.
2010 Target Audiences:
This meeting is designed for beginner and expert audiences concerned with culturally competent health care, including:
- Health care managers and staff, from community based clinics to managed care systems
- Health professionals in practice and education
- Consumers and representatives from diverse communities
- Individuals concerned with financing, quality improvement, policy, and research.
2010 Exhibition Times and Location:
